Good evening. After much careful consideration, we have made the difficult decision to remain closed for Thursday, January 9. Like many of you, we are eager to welcome our students back, especially after an extended Winter Break. Earlier this afternoon, we were confident that we could do that safely. However, circumstances with many of our secondary and residential throughways and well-shaded neighborhoods warrant closure. We appreciate your understanding.

Last month, Goochland County Public Schools proudly hosted an Apple Distinguished Schools visit, welcoming school and division leaders from across Virginia! 🌎✨ Representatives from Buchanan County, Henrico County, Norfolk City, New Kent County, Madison County, and Prince William County Public Schools joined us to explore how we’re leveraging Apple technology to transform teaching and learning from Preschool through 12th grade. 🍎💡 During the visit, guests toured nearly 20 classrooms, witnessing firsthand the innovative ways our educators and students are using technology to create meaningful learning experiences. The day ended with rich discussions about the exciting work happening here in Goochland and the shared vision for the future of education as well as professional learning facilitated by our partners from Apple Education. Thank you to our incredible teachers, staff, students, and administrators for showcasing the heart of our Goochland innovation! Together, we’re shaping the future of learning. 🚀
