The 7th annual GEF essay contest sponsored by The Rotary Club of Goochland is officially starting up! The essay contest is open to all 4th and 5th grade students and this year there will be 3 prizes at each school:
Most Creative - $100
Best Constructed - $100
Best Supports the Topic - $100
The essays should be 500 words or fewer and the submissions are due March 1st, 2024. The essay template and submission form can be found here: goochlandschools.org/gef-essay
The question for this year is: What is your biggest fear in life? Describe what you are afraid of and why. Has anything happened in your life that has made you feel this way?

Spreading holiday cheer at Goochland Elementary❄️! Volunteers made the last week before break extra special with heartwarming read-aloud sessions. A fun-filled way to wrap up the semester!

🇺🇸✨ Honoring heroes at Goochland High School! 🎉 Students participating in the GHS Veterans Project shared joy and camaraderie with veterans at a festive holiday party. From games to crafts, it was a heartwarming celebration of gratitude and connection.




The free farmers market and produce event at GHS in collaboration with Lulu's local foods was a success! Huge shoutout to FFA students, cafeteria staff, Mrs. Landrum, and Mr. Allen for their incredible efforts in making it a hit! 🌽🍅



The first graders at Byrd Elementary couldn't be more excited about Dr. Cromartie being a guest reader today! They all had SO much to share with him!
