🚨 Update – GCPS Closed February 12 🚨 We understand that winter weather can disrupt plans. We hope everyone stayed safe and warm today while taking advantage of the snowfall. Even our superintendent couldn’t resist the temptation to enjoy the snow! Due to continued winter weather, Goochland County Public Schools will be closed tomorrow, February 12th. Additional freezing rain is expected overnight and into the morning, which will increase ice accumulations and create hazardous road conditions. For the safety of our students and staff, we have made the decision to close schools for the day. Thank you for your understanding as we work to keep our students and staff safe.

Like many of you, we are eager to welcome our students back, especially after an extended Winter Break. Earlier this afternoon, we were confident that we could do that safely. However, circumstances with many of our secondary and residential throughways and well-shaded neighborhoods warrant closure. We appreciate your understanding.
