The 8th Grade Moving On Ceremony at GMS was a resounding success! This special event marks a significant milestone in our students' educational journey, celebrating their hard work, growth, and achievements. Our 8th graders have shown incredible resilience, dedication, and spirit throughout their time at GMS. As they prepare to embark on new adventures in high school, we couldn't be prouder of each and every one of them. Last week, we celebrated the incredible careers of Mr. Hopkins and Mrs. Wilcox as they prepare for their retirement from Byrd Elementary School at the end of this school year. Thank you to everyone who came out, shared kind words and memories, and honored these two amazing educators. Your presence made the event truly special. Today, 5th graders at RES celebrated the ribbon cutting of the new learning pavilion! 🏫✨ Thanks to their collaboration with community partners, including THS Construction, Hourigan, Worrks, TrueTimber, SB Cox, Sunbelt, Luck Stone, and Standard Roofing Company this project has become a reality. These students, along with Mrs. Gates and Mrs. Gemmill, created GO: WILD (Goochland Outdoors: Wilderness Inquiry Learning Destination). Together, we've built a foundation for future learning! 🙌
