With temperatures expected to drop below freezing overnight, conditions are not expected to improve. We miss our students and staff and look forward to welcoming everyone back next week! Good evening. After much careful consideration, we have made the difficult decision to remain closed for Thursday, January 9. Like many of you, we are eager to welcome our students back, especially after an extended Winter Break. Earlier this afternoon, we were confident that we could do that safely. However, circumstances with many of our secondary and residential throughways and well-shaded neighborhoods warrant closure. We appreciate your understanding.

As we head into the holiday season, everyone at Goochland County Public Schools has so much to be thankful for. We are filled with gratitude for our amazing students, staff, families, and community. This last day before break has been a true celebration of learning, leadership, and love.
