Curriculum
Goochland County Public Schools’ instructional program is fully aligned to Virginia’s Standards of Learning (SOLs). In addition to Virginia’s SOLs, our instructional program is guided by our locally-developed grade level, subject-specific curricular pacing guides and course-specific syllabi. Our instructional team members use these state and local resources to design and deliver high-interest, high-quality lessons that engage students in their learning.
Our pacing guides and syllabi are updated in response to the revision of state standards, which generally occurs every seven years, along with local adjustments to curriculum. As a result, some curricular documents are updated annually, others less frequently. These curricular documents are available below:
