Our school will be closed March 30–April 3 for Spring Break!
Time to trade backpacks for adventures, alarm clocks for sleeping in, and homework for a little extra fun! We hope our students and families enjoy a week full of relaxation, laughter, and maybe even a little sunshine.
We can’t wait to see everyone back soon, refreshed and ready to finish the year strong!

The 2026 Reading Olympics Tournament is finally here! Thank you for supporting all of our amazing 4th & 5th grade readers.
IMPORTANT: Are you planning to join us for Opening or Closing Ceremonies?There is some construction happening near the section of Broad Street / Whitehall / Dogtown (the location where they are building the new fire station). This will possibly cause delays if you choose to drive to Central High in that direction. There is an alternate route - so please check with your GPS before leaving. Be sure to give yourself a little extra time to get there this morning or this afternoon.

Mrs. Tysinger’s preschool class arrived this morning to find some very busy visitors had turned their room upside down! From tiny footprints on the walls to green water and toilet paper streamers, these leprechauns definitely left their mark. 👣✨
The "visitors" also left behind gold coins and special messages for our youngest scholars. We love how our Goochland teachers create such magical moments to build a sense of wonder and community in the classroom! 🌈💚

We have been monitoring the forecast for Monday, and due to the elevated risk of extended severe weather, including widespread damaging winds, strong tornadoes, and large hail, GCPS will be closed tomorrow, March 16.
The uncertain timing of the storms could put our buses and students on the road as conditions worsen, even in the event of an early dismissal. Out of an abundance of caution, we have made the decision to close schools. We recognize the disruption this causes and thank you for your understanding and flexibility.

Our Randolph Elementary choral students took center stage at Tuesday's School Board meeting. There’s nothing quite like the sound of our community coming together to support our performers. We are so proud of their talent and the way they represent!
