The GMS SCA and the Goochland Christmas Mother are partnering together to collect food items for our local community. GMS students have been asked to specifically donate canned fruit and tomatoes and instant potatoes; however, any non-perishable food items will be accepted. Students will be holding a friendly grade-level competition, with the grade who donates the most food items winning outdoor seating at lunch, PBIS points, and a movie! All donations must be received by the morning of Friday, November 15.
Make sure you stop by the LC to see Axel, our axolotl! He is always happy to see a friendly face!

Ms. Parks' art class explored VR as they used Gravity Sketch to continue in their unit of designing shoes. Students used the app to draw, color and design a shoe in 3D after going through these same steps in multiple mediums in art!

This upcoming weekend, October 25-27th, the Goochland Drama Department will present the classic C.S. Lewis story, The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe. If you are available, we would like to invite you to one of our shows! This show features a cast and crew of over seventy GMS and GHS students, and we could not be more excited to share this story with our Goochland community.

Key of G meets every Wednesday after school until 5pm and performs at the GMS chorus concerts as well as at other special events throughout the year. Ms. Roe and Ms. Burns' class worked with geodes to better understand crystal structures in minerals during their lab. Geodes are an excellent way to see how nature works, as each one is different on the inside!
