The GCPS Mental Health Advisory Committee is comprised of parents, teachers, counselors, students, and other community members. They strive to:

  • End stigma around mental health within the GCPS school community.

  • Promote awareness and increase understanding of the importance of mental health and wellness through the provision of educational resources and events.

  • Advocate for additional mental health resources, programs, staffing, etc. to meet the growing need for mental health support.

  • Identify and provide school- and community-based mental health resources to students, staff, and families.

  • Offer guidance and support to the school community on how to access appropriate resources for mental health-related concerns.
